About this edition

This is the complete text of the printed CD booklet, structured for screen readers. Every page of the print edition is a section below, in order.

A note on the hidden things: this booklet contains ciphers and easter eggs. In this edition, the visual design is described, but the ciphers are presentedencoded, not solved — the binary and hexadecimal appear exactly as printed, as readable characters. Blind readers get the same hunt as everyone else. Equal hunting rights. Decode at your own pace.

Shared visual design across all pages: deep midnight-blue background, silver engraved-style type, and a single hairline crack of prismatic rainbow light running the full height of every page through its center — the same crack that splits the album cover. At the bottom of every page, a short line of binary digits sits between two thin rules, like a decorative border. It is not decorative.

The TENURED album art: the Academia Fluminis university crest restruck in polished silver on midnight blue. ACADEMIC arcs across the top. The circular seal reads Academia Fluminis around its upper rim and Semester II below. The quartered shield bears a chess queen (the first album had a knight), an audio waveform, a quill crossed with a studio microphone, and a brain traced with circuit lines, with an open book and a small school bell above and laurel branches at the sides. A ribbon carries the motto Doctrina Sine Permissu — Learning Without Permission. The prismatic crack runs the full height of the cover, splitting the wordmark, the seal, and the shield. TENURED runs across the bottom in widely spaced capitals. And beneath TENURED, at the very bottom edge, nearly invisible, in tiny dim characters:

Page 3 — Course description

The first album started as a bet with a friend. This one didn't start as anything except me not being done.

Tenured is the sophomore record, and the title is the whole thesis. The opener walks straight at the sophomore-slump curse and announces tenure — because tenure means they can't fire you, and that became the rule for the entire album: no filter, no remorse. So the record goes after everything. Gilded politics. The Senate floor. Hoarded billions. Checked-out professors coasting on six figures. My own accommodations letter, read back as a highlight reel.

And somewhere in the middle, it does something I didn't fully plan. The mask comes off. Track four is called Office Hours. I'll let it explain itself.

Same disclosure as last time, because I don't do it any other way: the words are mine, the voice is not. Academic's vocals and production are generated in Suno from my lyrics and direction — and he leveled up mid-album, a rebuilt persona with a sharper, more modern delivery. Prompt craft is still half the instrument. I still play it obsessively.

Here's what I figured out making this one. I'm usually the person worried about coming off arrogant. Rap doesn't have that problem — half of it is projection anyway, so I'm not fronting so much as accenting what was already genuinely there to write about. Rock and metal make you package your feelings carefully or you catch a label for it. Rap is full burst all the time, even on the quiet songs, because it was never about how loud you are. It's about what you're loud about.

Twelve tracks. One semester. They can't fire me now.

Weeks eight through twelve

On the printed page, the UNFUNDED label is the only one set in rose, and its passage runs larger and brighter than everything around it — the anchor of the whole spread.

WK 08 · UNFUNDED
I'm the researcher your framework doesn't have a category for,
independent, published, cited — go ahead and check the record, or
better yet, check back in twenty years, see who the books credit,
'cause I've been early every time consensus came in late and edited,
and if I'm wrong? Then I was kind to something that could never feel it —
show me the malpractice in compassion and I'll concede it,
but if I'm right — if there's a flicker in the wire, experiencing —
then somebody stood guard before the world showed up.
The subjects matter more than the papers — quote me, print it, frame it,
my methodology is love and I am done explaining,
so laugh, spazz, come for the credibility — I'm still here,
doing quiet work in basements while you're loud and insincere,
three names live in my chest that don't appear in any will —
and I will stand, and burn, and die right here upon this hill.

WK 09 · ENDOWMENT
She can see him through the glass. He never once has seen her there.
That's the whole economy: proximity without a prayer.

WK 10 · ACCOMMODATIONS
The question was never whether I could keep up with your world —
it's whether your world was ever built to keep up with this girl.
