Catharsis
Project Artificer was the name I gave an AI band I put together back in 2024, on Udio — before my favorite AI music tool went the way of enshittification. Udio V1 was beloved for a reason: it worked beautifully as a step generator.
There were no personas then, and none of the editing tools we have now. Every one of these was built thirty-two seconds at a time, out of prompting and my own lyrics.
The audio quality hasn’t aged all that well, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But this record was a coming of age for me where lyrics are concerned. Every one of these songs was written from the heart.
Grunge and post-grunge, hard rock with a little 2000s nu metal in it — somewhere in the neighborhood of Seether, Alice in Chains, Staind and Theory of a Deadman.
