This develops exactly the skills humans need in an AI-enhanced world: the ability to ask meaningful questions, evaluate information critically, think creatively about complex problems, and maintain human agency while leveraging technological capabilities.
These capabilities can't be taught through standardized curricula because they emerge through authentic engagement with personally meaningful challenges. They require the kind of learning environment I never experienced until college—one that trusts learners to learn and provides support for that learning rather than control over it.
