Arc 1 — Escape from Ghauba

Cloud City on Bespin is the destination Quinel selects after fleeing Ghauba, being where he was already bound to find his old Twi'lek contact Garaath. After the escape, Garaath transmits docking coordinates for the city's lower levels along with contact information for a trusted mechanic, and the Stray sets course for Bespin.

Arc 2 — Cloud City Blues

Cloud City is the setting of the crew's recovery. It is described as a floating metropolis whose white towers and platforms hang thousands of meters above Bespin's churning orange clouds. Originally an independent Tibanna-gas mining colony, it has grown into what Quinel calls "part industrial facility, part luxury resort, part smuggler's haven." It is cleaner than most stations he frequents, with polished floors and maintained lighting that money buys as "the illusion of civilization." Imperial cruisers are visible among the ships in orbit, though no Star Destroyers.

Garaath operates out of the Dancing Jawa, a cantina in a quieter part of the entertainment district, and lends the crew a modest two-bedroom apartment overlooking the city. The Stray is professionally repaired in the city's hangars. In the marketplace, Tammea is overwhelmed by the crowds and loses control of her empathy, a breakdown that ends near one of the city's open ventilation shafts. The crew departs Cloud City for Nar Shaddaa once repairs and preparations are complete.

Arc 3 — Crossfire Run

Cloud City is recalled in contrast with Nar Shaddaa: Quinel remarks that "Cloud City tries to hide its dirt," whereas the Smuggler's Moon "puts it on display."
